Sometimes as we go through life we start to feel we are nothing but big hypocrites. Invariably as humans we say things that wedon not live up to and I wonder if there is a person on the earth who hasn't at one time thought to themselves "I am a phony."
That's why God gives us people like Ted Haggard , so we can wrap ourselves up in the fluffy blanket of someone else's hypocrisy and snuggle down into the warm bed of self-exculpation and turn off the annoying bedside lamp of introspection.
I have actually heard a few people say they feel sorry for the guy, and I get that. Itisn't easy being gay and religious in America. But I know a lot of people who were in the closet and were religious. I know very few of them who spear headed campaigns to make gays feel less welcome on this planet. I know even less who ordered METH with their HOOKERS. I always order my hookers with pickles and mustard cooked in. They call it Animal Style.
